The notes of the November 5, 2018 meeting were approved as written.
Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved.

Lynn Hohl asked Mr. McCanna to report on ABC High School not moving forward with charter. Cody McCanna stated the main reason for not moving forward was the lack of preference given to their current 8th graders.
Lynn Hohl changed the agenda to the following:
1. Budget cuts
2. AR6181
3. Charter school oversight committee
There were no objections to changing the agenda.
Lynn would like another Charter School Committee meeting next month.

Committee: F. LAYDOWN Potential Charter School Budget Cuts/Revisions

Mr. Jones handed out FY20 Projected Foundation Budget Reduction sheets. Mr. Jones discussed the potential changes and how they would affect the charter schools. These sheets do not account for oil and gas committee money going away. The figures in the attachment are just state funding. Borough funding could be reduced, if oil and gas money goes away. Discussion followed regarding how it would affect the charter schools and if they could afford to stay open. Schools might have to amend their charter. There was discussion of how closing Kenai Alternative School would potentially affect ABC. Based on the proposed budget cuts ABC, Kaleidoscope and Soldotna Montessori believe they could stay open for next school year; Fireweed Academy would not be able to stay open.
