Lynn Hohl July 1st requested devising a special Annual Report just for Charter Schools
and review year-end reports for Charter School

The agenda was revised to flip administrative E before D
Lynn Hohl will write something up and submit what she thinks is missing regarding annual review of Charter Schools. She will also draft a possible schedule for the
yearend review of every Charter School. Currently each APC has a review process which they report to district. It was suggested Charter Schools could report to Board at the end of the year, with summary information.
Lynn requested a copy of what Cody gave to his APC to send to Lynn. Cody will contact charter school principals and try to come up with a format.
Lynn will like the yearend report for charter schools for the next Charter School meeting.
Dan would like to clean up Board Policy as they relate to Charter Schools. He would like policies that are more clearly defined; what policies Charter Schools are except from, and what process to follow.
Administration will start a line of communication to see if anything we can clarify in policy.
Agenda item on next meeting, have some questions/concerns.
The Committee would like Charter School principals to review the policies, and bring any changes/comments to the next Charter School Committee Meeting.

Committee: E. Proposed AR 6187.1 Charter School Administrator Evaluation

Based on Anchorage policy brought to Committee a few months ago. This modified version to be adapted to KPBSD policy.
This is a very important change, not implementing the policy could be catastrophic to school culture. APC members need to be cautioned that a quorum be maintained.
Concern about substitutes might be on APC, could have influence on school culture.
John O'Brien - will email each APC chair and building principal and encourage them to come to next charter school and/or policy meeting. Please discuss this policy at your next APC site meeting.
Some charters might need to change their by laws to reflect the change.
