C. Approval of the notes from the March 3, 2020
The notes from the March 3, 2020 meeting were approved with changes to add Ms. Morgan to attendance on March 3, 2020.
D. 2020-2021 Fall Restart Update

Mr. O'Brien gave a brief description of things that the district is doing to work with the 2020-2021 Fall Restart Committee communications. Mr. Holland gave a brief presentation of the 2020-2021 Fall Restart. Ms. Pegge Erkeneff noted that the Survey was put into place. 1342 Parents and 875 staff have completed the survey to date. Parents were asked to complete one for each of their students. Planning is for low, medium and high risk levels and many other scenarios. There are 20 members on the working group. They want to be transparent with parents and staff. There is a possibility of a survey late July and early August. A variety of platforms will be used. It is also posted on district Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and posted to the mobile App. The information may be sent to the schools so that they can share or generate in their own way by using SMS Text, phone call or email within School Messenger.
It was requested to have the district communicate that they are working on a plan and that we do not know what next fall will look like. The decrease of information was noticed by a board member. Plan will not be one size fits all for the entire district because different situations apply in each school and community. The thought is that the information people receive should come from the district and principals. Some troubleshooting may need to happen with SMS texting option. Ms. Erkeneff updated the committee on a weekly newsletter. It was discussed to go on local shows to communicate with the public.

E. 2019-2020 Annual Report

The plan is to use the same format as the past 5 years and use it as an educational piece. They will highlight what the district did this spring. They are going to learn from it and celebrate what they accomplished in a very short time. Ms. Vadla noted that we did an amazing job as a district. It is important to celebrate IT, staff, teachers, specialists. She appreciates that there is an online and a physical version of it. The Committee asked if there were enough inspiration pieces. They talked about the Student Voice group and what came out of it. It was discussed that they should be included with stories from other teens. There is a group working on a grant to get funding with a group of Student Voice leaders to develop a campaign around June 8.
F. 2020-2021 Communication Plan
Ms. Erkeneff gave an update to the committee on the communication plan for the 2020-2021 school year. She reemphasized the opportunity we have with the Smart Start in August. The bond on the ballot has been postponed. We have a heavy lift going on with the COVID 19 crisis. She would like to create a weekly E-news that people can subscribe to.
