Ms. Romanin: agrees there should be more information gathered.
Mr. Tauriainen: agrees there should be an ad hoc committee. What does the community want???? Focus on feedback and surveys from the community and staff.
Ms. Vadla: agrees there should be more information gathered.
Mr. Morse: agrees information should be explored.
Ms. Truesdell agrees.
Questions:
what are the goals of having a 4 day school week?
Mondey svings where and how
"Does it improve quality of life
Professional development of teachers/staff how?
How does affect student attendence.
Negotiations how does this affect it?
Unions opinion on 4 day?
How is the community involved?
Student outcome?
Can we pilot this in a particular area??
Gather info from other districts.

Discussion, Information: C. Discussion: Staffing Formula Questions

Cary-How does programmatic staffing work. Staffing at small schools-multi grade classrooms and how is the PTR counted. 6-8 grade splits at smaller schools.
Tauriainen-how to help medium sized schools? Nikiski, Seward... check on schools after school staffing formula is decided... can you add teachers even after the staffing formula decides?
Morse- any schools that lie outside of the formula? Do schools have more administrators according to the student count? Attendance secretary..? Seniors only needing a few classes - ?
Morgan- addressing 6th graders in the 6-8 schools.
Romanin-what happens when a class size grows in say November, so after the October count. Can we or do we adjust this?
Vadla-Special needs students and the difference in the formula.
