1. Opening Activities

A. Call to Order

President Kelly called the Special meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.

B. Pledge of Allegiance/National Anthem/Alaska Flag Song

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

C. District Mission Statement

Ms. Morgan read the district mission statement.

D. Roll Call

9 Board Members Present: Ms. Kelley Cizek, Mr. Tim Daugharty, Ms. Sarah Douthit, Ms. Dianne MacRae, Ms. Virginia Morgan, Mr. Jason Tauriainen (joined the meeting at 1:34 p.m.), Ms. Patti Truesdell, Mrs. Penny Vadla, Mr. Zen Kelly

A quorum was established.

Others present:

Superintendent Holland

Assistant Superintendent Dendurent

Human Resources Executive Director Crabtree

Finance Director Voivedich

E. Approval of Agenda

Motion: Move to approve the September 8, 2025 Special Meeting agenda as presented.

Motion by Penny Vadla, second by Patti Truesdell.

Final Resolution: Motion Carried

Not Present at Vote: Jason Tauriainen

2. Executive Session

A. Executive Session-Negotiations

Motion: Move the board go into executive session to discuss matters, the immediate knowledge of which would clearly have an adverse effect upon the finances of the district. Specifically, the session is held to discuss employee contract negotiations.

Motion by Virginia Morgan, second by Penny Vadla.

Final Resolution: Motion Carried

B. Adjourn Executive Session

Motion: Move to adjourn the executive session.

Motion by Virginia Morgan, second by Patti Truesdell.

President Kelly provided that the executive session was held to discuss union contract negotiations.
