The committee will discuss the pay schedule for substitutes and other temporary employees for the 2018-19 school year.

Teacher (Certified)

$140.00 per day

(based on 8 hour day)

Teacher (Non-Certified)

$120.00 per day

(based on 8 hour day)

Secretary (all clerical)

$11.00/hr.

Custodian/Stock Handler/Theater Crew

$11.00/hr.

Deaf Ed. Interpreter (Certified/Licensed)

$18.50/hr.

Food Service Cashier/Kitchen Assistant/Cook/Manager

$10.50/hr.

Aide/Instructional Assistant

Activity Bus Driver

Two times the Alaska minimum wage**

*Pursuant to Alaska Statute 23.10.065(a), the Alaska minimum wage is to be adjusted annually for inflation using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the proceeding January-December calendar year. The CPI increased 0.4 percent in 2016 and as a result, the Alaska State minimum wage increased to $9.84 effective January 1, 2018.

**Pursuant to Alaska Statute 23.10.065(b), persons employed as a school bus driver shall receive at least two times the Alaska minimum wage.
