Background Information:
This work session will be a summary of progress the District is making toward our efforts to better personalize learning opportunities for all of our students. The following topics will be discussed:
- Distance Education
- Digital Technology Initiative Grant
- Implementation of our new learning management system “Canvas”
- Preparing teachers to teach utilizing “blended learning” strategies
- Video conferencing instruction
- Personalized learning
- Digital based OER’s (Open Educational Resources)
- Professional learning
We will also discuss how continued progress in these areas is critical to achieving the goals in our new proposed 5 year strategic plan and what next steps are being considered. There will be time at the end of the work session for question and response.
