Background Information:
During this extended work session Administration will present updates and new information related to the start up of the school year during this ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. Information will be provided on the following:
- Updates to the Smart Start Plan from Assistant Superintendent Clayton Holland. Specifically: volunteers while in Green status and field trip information.
- Instructional Updates regarding: Online archiving and pooling of curricular materials and lesson plans, Fall parent-teacher conference plans, field trips, etc.
- Contact Tracing: Collaboration with Public Health (Nursing Supervisor, Iris Wertz)
- Symptom Free Protocol requirements: Input from Alaska Health and Social Services and the KPBSD Medical Advisory Group. (Nursing Supervisor, Iris Wertz)
- Information on PK-2 age students (Nursing Supervisor, Iris Wertz)
- Update on the Eastern Peninsula/Seward (Seward Elementary positive student cases, remote learning & overall community numbers and status. (Superintendent O'Brien)
- Updated enrollment numbers (Assistant Superintendent Dave Jones)
- Additional considerations and options for "sustained Green" and future Red scenarios.(District Administration and Board Discussion)
