Vaughn Dosko, KPSAA Executive Secretary, will present a summary of the handbook changes that the KPSAA Board has discussed this year and will be voting on at their April 7th Executive Board Meeting. This work session will be an opportunity for the School Board and District Administration to provide feedback and to bring up issues or concerns that they may have. Attached is a summary of what Mr. Dosko will be discussing during this work session.
At a May Board of Education work session, the entirety of the KPSAA Handbook changes as proposed and approved by the KPSAA Executive Board will be presented. The final approval of the handbooks by the KPBSD Board of Education will take place at the June School Board meeting.

3. Zones are still allowed, but zones cannot extend beyond the 3-point area. Collapsing man to man defense is permitted. Man to Man defense is strongly encouraged.

High School Handbook Changes
- Page 17, V. PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES FOR ACTIVITIES, Section D, Item 3 Esports participation fees shall be paid through PlayVS.
Language change for the addition of Esports for high school.
2. Page 21, VI. GENERAL ACTIVITIES POLICIES FOR THE KPBSD, Section I, Item 3 (7) Esports
a. Eligibility. Participants must meet KPSAA and ASAA eligibility requirements. A Physical Examination, Concussion Information Form and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form are not required. Participant names must be entered in the School Activities Reports System (SARS).
b. Season. Fall Season and Spring Season dates will be determined by ASAA.
c. Rules. PlayVS will coordinate the program. Schools may only have one varsity level team for each game. Schools may have multiple sub-varsity teams. Sub-varsity teams will not advance into the playoffs. All other game rules will fall under ASAA guidelines.
