The FY24 preliminary budget has an estimated deficit of $4,448,806. We will continue to review the options presented to balance the FY24 budget.
Positions already cut from the preliminary budget include:
- Student Support Services Coordinator
- Director of Communications
- Recruitment Specialist
If we receive additional funding from the State of Alaska, the board will make the determination on what will be added back into the budget.
At the April 10th board of education meeting, we will present a balanced budget for approval based on the recommendations from the board.
