Background Information:
The Board is required to set the district's six year Capital Plan Priorities per AS 14.08.101. The Priority Set by the Board directly affects scoring of all applications submitted to DEED for state aid funding consideration. The grant program requires a 35% local match for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. This is a revision of the plan passed by the school board on June 5, 2023. The Borough is planning on utilizing available old roof bond proceeds to supplement the roof replacement project, as this needs to be submitted individually for eligibility, it has been extracted from the district wide metal roof replacement, and is now identified as a standalone project.
