Background Information:
Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Policy BP 5123 addresses the criteria and process for retention/acceleration of any student. For the 2023-24 school year, 51 students were considered for possible retention and 2 students were considered for possible acceleration under the above referenced policies. From 13 different schools: 24 students were retained, while 1 student was accelerated.
