BP 4158 Employee Security was presented in policy committee on 07-07-2025 with Administration's recommended changes. Committee tabled this policy and it was presented in policy committee on 08-04-2025 for further review and discussion. A second version had been drafted to reflect the committee's discussion from the July committee meeting. This policy was tabled once more for further revisions and to further align with state regulations.

The committee moved the original version to be further reviewed by the full Board in work session on 10-20-2025 and those revisions to BP 4158 Employee Security were presented in a first reading on the 11-03-2025 Business meeting agenda. BP 4158 Employee Security is presented with those revisions on the agenda this evening for a second reading and action by the Board.

BP 4158 Employee Security version 1 has been vetted by AASB Legal, and definitions of physical restraint are in the current KPBSD BP 5142.3.
