On December 4, 2017, the Charter School Oversight Committee met to discuss a request from Fireweed Academy Charter School to amend their contract to include specific Pupil Teacher Ratios (PTR). The requested pupil-teacher ratio for Fireweed Academy was 18:1 for K-2 grades, and 20:1 for grades 3-6. Discussion among board members on December 4th was favorable to the request, with consensus agreement to bring it forward to the January meeting for board approval.
There are two attachments pertaining to the contract amendment request. Both attachments are copies of the proposed Fireweed Academy Charter School Contract. The first copy uses yellow highlighting and red ink to illustrate changes and additions made so the board can better understand the deletions and additions made. The second copy incorporates all of the changes and is ready for signature by the board once the amended contract is approved.
