Background Information:
The Annual Assessment Report is a compilation of data provided to school board members and the public at a school board meeting.
It is important to remember that the state assessment is just one of several data points used by the district to measure student, school, and district progress and performance.
The attached report provides all the assessment data points and other data points used by the district as part of our comprehensive system of assessment and support: Aims Web, Performance Series, MAPs, ACT, SAT, EL data, Graduation data, Drop Out data, and other.
The state submitted the ESSA proposal to the federal Department of Education for review and it has been approved. School ratings on an index will be released to the public on October 23rd. We will take a brief look at the new ESSA Accountability system called System for School Success Reports. Attached is the System for School Success companion document, KPBSD All Sheets (which provides the individual school reports), and a Comprehensive School List.
