Background Information:
Nontenured contracts will be requested with consideration for those who have specific, necessary endorsements, or who work in locations that are difficult to get to, and whose positions are likely to be continued given what administration currently anticipates for FY20 funding.
School administrators have analyzed their staffing related to a variety of scenarios, with a focus on possible PTR increases at the high school of +5, at the middle school of +3, and +1 at the elementary level. It is necessary that action regarding additional non-tenured teachers will come at a special meeting in May, prior to the last day of the school year.
Regardless of PTR increases, the addition of Student Success Liaisons to the budget is a unanimous recommendation from high school principals and district administration.
