CSocial Studies Curriculum Revision Update

Background Information: The Social Studies Curriculum Committee met September 11 and 12, 2019 to discuss Board Policy 6141—Curriculum Development. During these two work days, the committee conducted a needs assessment based on student data, reviewed Alaska State Social Studies and English Language Arts (ELA) Standards and began designing a new curriculum document to ensure alignment to the updated KPBSD mission, vision, key performance indicators and personalized learning initiative.
