As an important component of our KPBSD Five-Year Strategic Plan, we are intently focused on being responsive to the social and emotional needs of all students.  Empowering our students to build strong positive relationships with their peers and the school staff is a focal point of these efforts.  Mr. Chris Brown, Principal of Homer Flex School, will be presenting to the Board of Education in this work session on Restorative Practices.  Mr. Brown will talk about the transformation that has taken place at Homer Flex since they implemented restorative practices as an alternative to traditional punitive discipline at the school.  Mr. Brown will also provide an overview of what Restorative Practices are and efforts to provide training to other school staffs and administrators throughout the District.
