Background Information:

KPBSD annually serves over 250 students who experience homelessness.  Eligible students receive targeted support to eliminate barriers to school attendance during the school year in which they are identified.  KPBSD staff recognize that students on the verge of homelessness or who are recovering from this or other traumas, also benefit significantly from proactive support.  This work session will provide an overview of two programs that meet the needs of KPBSD students who are at risk, solely through the use of federal funds and donations.
