ABP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs

BP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs was introduced at the 4-11-2022 Policy Committee meeting but due to lack of time was forwarded to the 5-9-2022 Policy Committee meeting. It has since been reviewed and edited at the 5-9-2022 and 6-6-2022 meetings, and was sent to legal for further input and moved to 6-27-2022 meeting for further review by the Committee. It was tabled to the 08-01-2022 Policy Committee meeting to consult legal further in light of the recent Supreme Court ruling. It was moved to the 10-04-2022 Board Policy Work Session for further review by the Board. It was moved from Work Session for a first reading on the agenda the November 7, 2022 agenda. It was presented at the 12-05-2022 meeting for second reading and approval when the agenda item was postponed until February 2023. BP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs is presented in work session to have further input from legal and Board members.
