BP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs was introduced at the 4-11-2022 Policy Committee meeting but due to lack of time was forwarded to the 5-9-2022 Policy Committee meeting. It has since been reviewed and edited at the 5-9-2022 and 6-6-2022 meetings, and was sent to legal for further input and moved to 6-27-2022 meeting for further review by the Committee. It was tabled to the 08-01-2022 Policy Committee meeting to consult legal further in light of the recent Supreme Court ruling. It was moved to the 10-04-2022 Board Policy Work Session for further review by the Board. It was moved from Work Session for a first reading on the agenda the November 7, 2022 agenda. It was presented at the 12-05-2022 meeting for second reading and approval when the agenda item was postponed until February 2023. BP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs was presented at the 01-09-2023 work session to have further input from legal and Board members. BP 6141.2 Recognition of Religious Beliefs and Customs was tabled to the 02-06-2023 work session for further Board discussion. It was presented on the 03-06-2023 meeting agenda for a first reading, and is presented on the agenda this evening for second reading and action.
