BP 5141.41 Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault and Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention was introduced in committee on 05-06-2024 as a new policy and was presented in work session on 06-03-2024 for input from the full Board. BP 5141.41 Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault and Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention was presented on the 06-03-2024 agenda for a first reading and is presented on the agenda this evening for a second reading and action.
AASB Policy Update Note BP 5141.41: Effective June 30, 2017, school districts shall establish a training program for students and provide parent notices relating to sexual abuse and sexual assault awareness and prevention for students in kindergarten through grade 12. AS 14.30.355. By the same date, school districts shall establish a training program for students and provide parent notices relating to dating violence and abuse in grades seven through 12. AS 14.30.356.
