BP 4158 Employee Security was presented in policy committee on 07-07-2025 with Administration's recommended changes. Committee tabled this policy and it was presented in policy committee on 08-04-2025 for further review and discussion. A second version had been drafted to reflect the committee's discussion from the July committee meeting. This policy was tabled once more for further revisions and to further align with state regulations.

Three working versions are presented today. Administration recommends proceeding with the originally submitted version, with the following key considerations:

  • Version 1 maintain as the primary version (vetted by AASB Legal; definitions of physical restraint in current KPBSD BP 5142.3).

  • Version 2 reflects previous committee discussions and suggested changes.

  • Version 3 shows proposed language edits, which is redundant with BP 5143.2.
