Background Information:
Our district-wide efforts with personalized learning continue to move forward this school year. The 2018-2019 school year finds KPBSD in our second full year working with Education Elements to develop and implement personalized learning throughout our very diverse school district. Wave 1 schools spent last school year working directly with Education Elements and are now moving onto building their internal capacity to sustaining their PL efforts without the assistance of the Education Elements team. Wave 2 schools are in the middle of their work with the Education Elements team, and Wave 3 schools have just begun their direct work with Education Elements. Both Wave 2 and 3 schools will continue to work with EE throughout this school year, and will move forward with their internal sustainability work next school year.
This work session is intended to update the Board of Education on the progress of our work with Education Elements and KPBSD’s efforts regarding personalized learning.
