      Background Information:

      Attached are the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly's January 8, 2019, meeting packet documents regarding Ordinance 2018-19-25.  If approved, this ordinance authorizes the borough's acceptance of the Kachemak-Selo new K-12 school construction grant in the amount of $10,010,000.  Accepting the grant will allow the borough time to secure the required 35 percent match funds of $5,450,000.
