      Background Information:

      Attached is the administration's recommended revision to AR 5144 Discipline.  This AR is revised to update board policy as it pertains to school safety and security (especially regarding behavior threat assessment) and as recommended by our attorney at Jermain, Dunnagan and Owens (JDO).

      AR 5144 Discipline is presented for a first reading and board action. Administration recommends approval of this AR.
