      Background Information:

      The three units of credit in social studies required in the KPBSD must include a .5 unit of credit in Alaska history or demonstration that the student meets the Alaska history performance standards. The new E 6146.2 Alaska History Waiver Request waives that requirement for the following: A student who (1) transfers into the district after the student's second year of high school; or (2) has previously successfully completed a high school state history course in another state. 4 AAC 06.075.

      Per BB 9313 Exhibit pages are intended to be easily updated. They are provided as information items to Board members but are not subject to approval.  E 6146.2 Alaska History Waiver Request is new and is presented in the General Information packet.
