Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Policy BP 5123 addresses the criteria and process for retention/acceleration of any student. For the 2022-2023 school year, 34 students were considered for possible retention and six students were considered for possible acceleration under the above referenced policy. From 14 different schools, 23 students were retained and five students were accelerated.
