Administration's Recommendation: 

The KPBSD Administration confidently recommends the renewal of the Soldotna Montessori Charter School for a 10-year term. Soldotna Montessori Charter School has consistently demonstrated:

  • Fiscal Responsibility: The school maintains a financially sound structure, ensuring stable operations and the capacity to fulfill its educational mission.
  • Commitment to Sustainability: Soldotna Montessori Charter School has established a sustainable model poised to serve the needs of future students and families.
  • Academic Excellence: The school meets or surpasses KPBSD's rigorous academic standards, reflecting commitment to high-quality education.

    This renewal supports KPBSD district's goals by continuing to provide families with a choice in education that aligns with KPBSD's values and academic expectations.

    Background Information: 

    October 1, 2025, Soldotna Montessori Charter School submitted the Soldotna Montessori Charter School Renewal application.

    October 9, 2025, the Charter School Oversight Committee was presented the Soldotna Montessori Charter School Renewal application and placed it on the October 20, 2025 Board of Education work session schedule. 

    October 20, 2025, the Board of Education held a work session to review the Soldotna Montessori Charter School Renewal application and moved the application to the November 3, 2025 Business meeting for action. 

    The Soldotna Montessori Charter School Renewal application is presented on the agenda this evening for approval from the Board.
