The Board of Education's adopted rules of Parliamentary Procedure, Robert's Rules of Order, provide for a consent agenda listing several items for approval of the Board by a single motion. Documentation concerning these items has been provided to all board members and the public in advance to assure an extensive and thorough review. Items may be removed from the consent agenda at the request of any board member.
Members of the public may provide comment on the consent agenda items prior to Board action-3 minutes per speaker

AR 6161.1 Selection of Instructional Materials was presented in committee on 08-03-2026 for discussion. AR 6161.1 Selection of Instructional Materials was also postponed to the 09-14-2026 committee meeting to allow for further recommendations from committee members to come forward for review. Version 1 includes recommendations from Administration. Also attached are Ms. VanBuskirk's suggested revisions. Committee moved forward with both versions to receive further Administration recommendations, as well as input from the full Board. The full Board reviewed AR 6161.1 Selection of Instructional Materials in a work session on 10-05-2026. AR 6161.1 Selection of Instructional Materials is presented on the agenda this evening for a first reading and action.
