The Calendar Committee met on Wednesday, October 14th to discuss the 2027-28, 2028-29 and 2029-30 Districtwide calendars. The committee members were:

The committee drafted two calendars for 2028-29. Calendar A followed the format the district has been using for years. Calendar B addresses concerns about the timing of the first parent-teacher conferences; they were moved earlier in October so students could hand in missing work prior to the quarter closing. There is assessment data available for teachers for the earlier conferences. The committee also moved the weather make-up days to later in the school year. The Calendar Committee asked for a survey, so stakeholders could vote on the two calendars. The survey results are attached. 411 people took the survey, 47.79% of respondents voted for calendar A; 52.21% of respondents voted for calendar B.
Administration recommends the Board approve the 2027-28, 2028-29 and 2029-30 Calendars so they can be submitted to DEED for approval.
