    Background Information:

    As discussed in work session, over the past two years the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development has worked with a wide variety of stakeholders across Alaska to develop a plan to transform public education in our State.  The culmination of this work are the Three Commitments to provide an excellent education for every student.  Many of Alaska's school districts are considering a resolution to support the challenge and the commitments.  Attached is the resolution for approval.  Also attached is background information about the Alaska Education Challenge and Three Commitments.
