2019-20 AASB Resolutions
Attached is the Association of Alaska School Boards (AASB) 2019 Resolution information. This is an opportunity for the board to review and discuss the resolutions. If the board desires to suggest new resolutions, those will be presented for action during the Oct. 7, 2019, meeting.
2020 State and Federal Legislative Priorities
The following suggested 2020 State and Federal Legislative Priorities are presented.
State Priorities:
Support of Public Education
Timely, sustainable, adequate education funding plan that addresses inflation
Safe Schools, Positive School Climate, & Social and Emotional Learning
Health Care Costs
Federal Priorities:
Public Education Advocacy
Safe Schools
Fully Fund Federal Title Programs
