Background Information:
This new Board standing committee would adopt and combine the charges of the Board Legislative Committee and the District Communications Committee. The rationale for this action is simply that both committee’s currently overlap to such an extent that it would be more efficient to have one group accomplish both purposes. A large amount of the information which the Communications Committee generates is directly for the consumption of the legislature and so it seems both functions could be accomplished concurrently.
