    Dear KPBSD School Board Members,

    As you are aware, there is an opioid epidemic ravaging our nation.  Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula are not exempt from the impact of this epidemic.

    The KPBSD has the opportunity, through the State of Alaska’s Project Hope grant, to obtain Narcan for each of our schools.  Narcan is a nasal spray that can bring a person out of an overdose situation in less than a minute.  Narcan is easy to administer and cannot cause any harm even if used mistakenly.
