    Attached are the 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 calendars.

    Notable changes and rational follow:

    • The two no work no pay days were moved to November 11 (Veteran’s Day) and April 10th based on feedback from the survey. Veterans day was the #1 Holiday choice from the survey. The April date is important as it is later in the year and can potentially be used as a make-up snow or natural disaster day.
    • The parent-teacher conferences were moved from Thursday/Friday to Friday/Monday. The goal here is to increase participation in parent-teacher conferences by ensuring that teaching coaches and students involved in extra-curricular activities are not on away road trips both days of the parent teacher conferences. By moving one of the parent teacher conference days to Monday when there are typically athletic no road trips this should help.
    • During Fall conferences the committee took parent and staff input and was mindful of trying not to have school the day after Halloween.
    • The early release days were moved to the third Wednesday on months where they are scheduled to occur. Input from parents stated that this helps parents plan ahead when a more consistent day/schedule is followed.
    • The end of the second quarter/in-service day was moved to the Monday after Christmas vacation. Teachers and students will both end the quarter on the same date (the Friday before Christmas vacation). This should help teachers coming back from break be better able to engage in meaningful professional development rather than the day before Christmas vacation.
    • The end of the second quarter added another day in the second quarter to help balance the quarters.
