          Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Policy BP 5123 addresses the criteria and process for retention/acceleration of any student. For the 2018-19 school year, 46 students were considered for possible retention and 7 students were considered for possible acceleration under the above referenced policies. From 14 different schools: 17 students were retained, while 6 students were accelerated.
