Structural and landscape pests can pose significant problems to people, property and the environment; however, the pesticides used to solve these problems carry their own risks. It is therefore the policy of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) to use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs and procedures for control of structural and landscape pests. Pest management strategies must be included in an approved pest management plan for each site. Pesticides The Superintendent will, when practical, ensure the use of non-chemical methods to control pests, including proper sanitation practices, structural repair, and window screens. |
