      Background Information:

      It is recommended that the above referenced individual be approved for hire. Since this individual is a member of the immediate family of a KPBSD School Board Member, Alaska Statute 14.14.140 requires that written approval of the Commissioner of Education be obtained after School Board approval. Superintendent Dusek will forward a request for approval to the Commissioner of Education upon School Board approval.
