      Background Information:

      2017 to 2022 Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Strategic Plan

      The process of updating the KPBSD strategic plan began in May of 2016 through our district and board goal setting process.  We have conducted multiple opportunities for site councils, staff, and the board to provide input on the overall plan.  We are at the point that the overall plan is ready for final board review and approval.  In the early fall of 2017, the district administration will provide more detailed goals related to each sub-component for the duration of the plan as a mechanism for full implementation by 2022.  This process will allow us to fully implement the Plan, Do, Study, Act improvement cycle that allows for mid-course corrections to fulfill the overall plan intent.
