| Regular Members The Board will consist of nine members elected or appointed in accordance with law. Student Board Members It is important to seek out and consider students' ideas, viewpoints and reactions to the educational program. In order to provide student input and involvement, the Board will appoint student Board members as deemed necessary. Student Board members may attend and participate in Board discussions of agenda items at regular meetings and work sessions but will not attend executive sessions. Student Board members may cast preferential votes on all matters except those subject to executive session discussion. Preferential votes will be cast prior to the official Board vote and will not affect the outcome of a vote. Preferential votes will be recorded in the Board minutes.
