    The Board expects District employees to maintain the highest ethical standards, to follow District policies and regulations, and to abide by state and national laws. Employee conduct should enhance the integrity of the District and the goals of the educational program.

    The Board encourages District employees to accept as guiding principles the codes of ethics published by professional associations to which they may belong.

    Members of the teaching profession are obligated by law to abide by the code of ethics and professional standards adopted by the Professional Teaching Practices Commission. Employees who violate provisions of the code of ethics and professional standards may be subject to disciplinary actions, up to and including termination. The district may report any violation of the code of ethics to the Professional Teaching Practices Commission.
